Monasterio Nuestra Senora De Los

08.10

Monasterio Nuestra Senora De Los Angeles (Monjas Dominicas), Sant Cugat, Spain.

Rising at 06.25 to the dawning chorus, already well underway. Morning sitting accompanied by beginning construction work, train & mosquito.

Silence visited breakfast.

Back to this office, and within 2 minutes of sitting at the computer I have killed 3 mosquitoes. Two are squidged on a window & the third dropped, lifeless, onto the computer. A fourth escaped death & is sitting on the ceiling by the light. Oh! how I suffer!

09.02  The service below this apartment, with the wonderful choir of the Sisters, has just ended. The monastery bell tower is just outside my bathroom window. When the window is open, the bathroom acts as a de facto extension to the bell tower. When the (loud) bell strikes the hour, the effect is, well, striking.

12.24  T’ai Chi at 09.15 with Luciano.

An Introduction to the Kitchen by Dr. Mike at 10.00.

Level Three Performance Team at 10.45 with Robert, looking at repertoire. A question: what would you like to play, to have fun? Three pieces were chosen & played. Quite a few people had fun. Then, to the C symmetrical scale. How  much fun was had with this is not known.

Guided practice for the Visitors with Buddies.

Quiet Time at 12.30.

13.44  Several good comments at lunch, by people from all over the world, following some prompting & encouragement.

Housework meeting at 14.30.

20.36  Tea at 16.00. Silence visited. I found this especially nourishing.

Personal meeting at 16.30.

Guitar Meeting for visitors & anyone who wanted to be there at 17.00 with Robert.  Addressed C harmonic minor, circulations & clusters; and C symmetrical offsets.

T’ai chi at 18.30.

Quiet time at 19.00.

Dinner at 19.30. Silence visited, with a mosquito. A question was addressed to the Level Three by a newly-arrived visiting Englishman, in from Berlin. Other visitors from England have not arrived: they were to have flown from Heathrow, closed today for security reasons. Tiramisu for dessert, accompanied by a mosquito. The tiramisu was small, but good.

Level Three meeting (without guitars) with Hernan at 21.30.

Level Three with guitars & Buddies at 22.00.

Visitors’ with guitars & Buddies also at 22.00.

23.23  A meeting with Hernan covering a variety of arisings. Now, the bed is waiting. The rock pillow, which has set my neck also in stone, is now replaced with a blanket. Hellboy Tom carries his own pillow in his life as Travelling Value-Adder. This is a great idea, but the Happy Gigster’s bags are too full already.
